FAQ

1. Who’s Who:
Director – Jim Wadzinski
Choreographer – Heather Steel
Musical Director – TBA

2. Do I need to prepare anything?
No. We will teach music and a dance combinations for audition purposes. Since “Joseph” is sung through, there are no readings. If you come with a prepared song, we will certainly allow performance of the prepared piece, but it is not necessary. We will have “plug and play” capability for prepared musical auditions, but we will not have an accompanist available. Headshots and resumes are helpful but not required.

3. How should I dress?
Please be prepared to dance. Appropriate clothing and footwear is a must.

4. Do I have to be at all audition sessions?
No. One session is adequate, however, attendance at multiple sessions is helpful.

5. What are the age ranges?
We need 15 – 20 boys aged 14 – 70, 12 – 16 women aged 14 – 50, and 10 – 15 children aged 7 to 13, mix of boys and girls. Participation in the children’s chorus will be determined by singing ability – some dance is required but we can teach what is needed. Parents should be aware that the children’s chorus is involved in the ENTIRE show…nights may get late as rehearsals get into the last stages. All adult roles require singing and dancing. This is a VERY chorus intense show…if your character isn’t on stage, it’s only because you’re doing a quick change to get ready to go back on.

6. What is the rehearsal schedule?
Typically, we will rehearse on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings, as well as Saturdays, typically from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Saturdays are predominantly choreography rehearsals. This is subject to change as we try to accommodate summer vacations, family conflicts, and work conflicts to the best of our ability. There may be some Friday evening rehearsals. The cast will have a complete schedule by the first rehearsal on May 10. Note: We can work around just about any conflict before June 13.
