Shrek the Musical Jr.

Step into the magical world of Shrek The Musical JR. with the Jr. Art Park Players Theatre Academy! Students will bring everyone’s favorite ogre and his fairytale friends to life while building acting, singing, dancing, and stage performance skills in a fun, supportive environment. Whether new to the stage or an experienced performer, every student will gain confidence, make lasting friendships, and create unforgettable memories. Join one of Deer Park’s longest-standing and most successful youth theatre programs and discover the magic of live theatre!

Musical Theatre

The Jr. Art Park Players Theatre Academy has been one of Deer Park’s premier youth arts programs, helping thousands of young performers discover their talents, build confidence, develop leadership skills, and create lifelong friendships through the performing arts.

Whether your child dreams of performing on Broadway, becoming a professional singer or dancer, working backstage, or simply having fun while learning valuable life skills, the Jr. Art Park Players Theatre Academy offers the most comprehensive youth theatre training program in the area.
 
Special performances of SHREK THE MUSICAL JR. will be held at the end of the semester.

Vocal Performance

Ages 8 to 18
Fall Tuition: $125

This class is designed to help students develop confidence and skill in singing both solo and in groups. Students will learn proper vocal technique, breath control, diction, and stage presence through a variety of musical styles. The class includes warm-ups, vocal exercises, and performance opportunities. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced singer, this class will help you grow as a performer and express yourself through music.

The Company is Deer Park’s premier acting troupe for ages 10-18, offering performance-based training and real-world experience. Members star in community events like SHREK THE MUSICAL JR., the Tree Lighting Spectacular, and the Halloween Carnival. Older students may audition for a traveling competition show with the Theatre Network of Texas. With expert instruction and dynamic opportunities, The Company is where young performers take center stage.
