The annual Puttin’ on the Ritz Scholarship Dinner Mixer will be held on Thursday, April 3 at the Art Park Players Dinner Theatre, and citizens do NOT want to miss this exciting and entertaining event. Sponsored by the Friends of the Art Park Players, RITZ is held to raise funds for scholarships and internships for long-standing members of the Junior Art Park Players.
 
This exclusive, one night only, event includes performances by some of our own Art Park Players, Jr. Art Park Players, local dignitaries and prominent business executives in our community as well as a live and silent auction.
 
This event is a truly engaging chance to come together as a community and support the arts. All auction items are donated to the event to ensure that all funds raised are utilized to support the Friends of the Art Park Players Scholarship and Internship Fund.

Advanced ticket sales can be purchased by patrons beginning February 21, 2025 during the run of “The Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum”

  1. Item Donations—Responsible for securing/obtaining live and silent auction donations.  This committee will also be 
    responsible for preparing auction bid sheets, and overall auction lists-both live & silent 
  2. Basket Preparation—Responsible for securing/obtaining baskets, basket fillers (shred, etc.) and preparing items for
    live & silent auctions 
  3. Event Decorating—Responsible for setting up theatre for event including coordinating decorations going up and
    coming down.  This Committee will be headed up by Susan Mele.
  4. Financial Committee—This committee will be responsible for streamlining the payment process including handling
    any live/silent auction Certificates to insure a smooth process.  This committee shall also be responsible for
    obtaining payment from parties that won auction items but did not pick up on night of event.  This includes calling
    people and accepting payments.
  5. Auction Committee—This committee will be responsible to insure pens are out for each item prior to auction and
    insuring every auction table is covered by someone who will be securing winners by redlining sheets at end of auction
    period and insuring that payment information cards are completely filled out by auction winners for payment purposes.
    This committee shall also insure that they receive payment information cards back prior to release of any auction items,
    both live and silent.   This committee shall also insure that there are Auction Monitors for live and silent auction tables
    for safety purposes prior to, during, and after event.

Fun Basket
Examples: colors, markers, color books, playdoh, peg & wooden puzzles, colored pencils, stuffed animals, children’s books, sketchbooks, small toys, candies, trinkets, etc.
 
Family Night
Examples: popcorn, snacks, blankets, assorted popcorn flavorings, candy, board games, card games, dominoes, dice, pizza gift cards, McDonald’s gift cards, soft drinks, streaming gift cards such as HULU, Netflix, Amazon, etc.
 
Kitchen/Cooking Theme
Examples: cooking utensils, small appliances, pot holders, dish towels, cutting boards, measuring spoons & cups, bakeware, cookbooks, mixing bowls, air fryer,  insta-pot, etc.
 
Coffee/Tea Theme
Examples: coffee grinder, assorted teas, biscotti, Lorna Doone cookies, assorted flavored creamers, packaged sugar, coffee mugs, traveler’s mugs, specialty cookies/crackers, assorted unrefrigerated cheeses, etc.
 
Chocolate Lover’s Basket/Mother’s Day Theme
Examples: nice chocolate candies, jewelry, perfumes, Bath & Body Works lotions/soaps, candles, wine, wine glasses, etc.
 
Grilling Theme
Examples: Old Smokey BBQ Pit (new or similar pit), cooking spices/sauces, grocery store gift cards for meat purchases, BBQ grilling tools, charcoal, charcoal starter, etc.
Scratch Off/Gambling Theme
Examples: miscellaneous dollar amount scratch off tickets, casino chips, casino games, anything gambling related, etc.
 
Pet Theme
Examples: dog/cat treats, toys, blankets, bedding, shampoos, collars, etc.
 
Restaurant Theme 
Examples: miscellaneous gift cards @$25 value to local & surrounding restaurants, ie Longhorn, Outback, Texas Roadhouse, Salt Grass, Red Robin, Chili’s, Olive Garden, Pappas, Pappasitos, Pappas BBQ, Antonio’s, Gringo’s, Jimmy Changas, Cheddar’s, Cheesecake Factory, etc.
